How I got here and what I stand for

Hey, I’m Katya Tinmey.

I was born and raised in the snowy mountains of Siberia (Republic of Tuva) and now call the sunny, vibrant city of Austin, Texas, home.

My curiosity about people and creativity led me to earn a Master’s degree in Communication Design, travel to different parts of the world, and learn how design connects with the human experience. Over the years, I’ve worked as a book cover designer, UX designer, brand designer, and web designer, gaining experience with all kinds of clients, budgets, and goals.

I approach design with a mix of bold ideas, attention to detail, and a playful attitude. My goal is to create work that connects with people, makes them curious, and leaves an impression.

When I’m not designing, I’m probably drinking matcha and drawing in local book store, walking my dogs, or traveling the world—always finding ways to stay creative and active.
